Perhaps you believe your relationship is negatively affected by how you or your partner express anger or handle conflict. You don’t believe that either of you are experiencing a mental illness or serous personal problem and don’t think you need to be in psychotherapy, yet you need some advice and guidance as to how to change things for the better. Self help books are helpful but you might desire some hands on guidance without having to attend therapy sessions. Or perhaps you wonder if couples counseling or individual counseling would be helpful. Personal coaching can be a time effective, reasonable solution. Your coach will help you decide on attainable goals and direct your efforts at learning new strategies for your life or relationship. If you need further counseling, your coach will explain what your options are available and will help you locate a therapist in your community. You are in control of determining what you want out of the coaching.
Identifying issues and strategies for overcoming problems in your relationship is crucial to effecting desired changes / goals. Guidance through each step is provided by your coach to help you get your relationships back on track.
Setting limits and reaching solutions all can live with. Coping with your angry/acting out child/teen. Problem solving guidance and cognitive behavioral techniques will be provided during your coaching sessions as well as recommendations for resources materials and community services that may be helpful.
Coaching you through bedtime, temper tantrums, sibling conflict, non-compliance with your requests, homework issues, step-parenting issues/co-parenting with a divorced co-parent and others. Helping you decide whether individual or family therapy for your child may be needed and helping you with a referral.
Achieving your desired vocational goals. Coping with conflict with co-workers and supervisors. Setting boundaries when others are angry or abusive. Overcoming procrastination and performance problems. Burnout issues. Balancing family and work.
Are you struggling with answers to these questions – How long can my parents continue to live alone without assistance? How long can they safely drive a vehicle? When is it time to seek a neuropsychological evaluation? When is it time to move into assisted living? Go to our Older Adults / Caregivers page for additional information.
